MMMKAY. yummy weekend. maybe?

yesterday was interesting.

I slept until 3:00. no lie. I worked till close the night before, and I was tired like woah. So I slept until 3.. ended up going to dad's at 5. Turns out, HEEYY.. dad had tickets to a Reading Phillies (still bothers me that we're called the READING PHILLIES) game, so we totally went. and it was okay. Then Arie and I stayed up and watched the Lion King and Mary Poppins.

Okay. I got the BEST IDEA EVER. whilst watching Mary Poppins. Because Mary Poppins just inspires me. I heart that movie.

DISNEY HALLOWEEN PARTY. totally. I'm so dressing up at Mary Poppins.. and I'm gathering my other nerdy friends.. and we're all gonna be dressed like Disney characters.. and we're gonna go RANDOM places and do RANDOM things.. then come home and watch Disney movies.

DUNKIN DONUTS USES PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE SOUNDTRACK MUSIC FOR THEIR DUMB COMMERCIAL! ARGH! slandering the music of all that is glorious.

And it's music from the BEST SCENE too. The one where Barry is running through all the hallways looking for Lena's apartment.. then he finally finds it and she opens the door and they kiss at that one pivotal moment in the song.. ARGH THIS MAKES ME FURIOUS. punch-drunk love does NOT = commercialism. FUCK YOU, DUNKIN DONUTS.

OH and to make things more pleasant.. some MOTHER FUCKER almost hit me tonight on my way home from work. I posted about it at the Miko boards so I'mma c&p, yo.

I was just driving home from work (in the rain, no less) and some bunghole coming out of an intersection who had a stop sign (I didn't have a stop sign) came barrelling out into the street (not stopping one bit), and was going to make a left turn and almost HIT ME. arrgh. I couldn't brake that fast because of the rain, so I had to swerve to avoid him.. luckily there weren't any cars in the other lane.. I was scared shitless. I was seeing the bright lights and the angels and everything.

That guy's face is TATTOOED into my brain. If I ever see him again.. I'mma kick 'em in the nuts. GRR on asshole drivers.

But otherwise today was an average day. work was bearable.. even though I really didn't have much to do. Jim sent me home WAY early.. wasn't even 11. he must have had a fever or something.

to sum up.. I still suck, but kinda rock a little bit.. and life is failing itself. the end.

Well this weekend was just peachy.

Saturday was mom-mom's funeral.. and I honestly STILL can't believe it. It just didn't look like mom-mom in that casket. But holy crap, there were tons of people there. I knew about 3% of them.. but somehow everyone knew me. They all read my articles in Voices, even though I haven't written for Voices in months.. because Voices = jackholes.. but that's besides the point..

When we ate lunch at the Cloister.. and I saw pop-pop.. I kept expecting to see mom-mom not too far behind. It was so surreal.

I cried a little.. but not as much as I thought I would. I got it all out of my system thursday in humanities. So I guess that was a plus? But I had this huge coughing fit in the middle of the mass.. and nothing seemed to help it. It was like a sign.. or something else really freaky.

Then yesterday I had my interview at Wendy's. and OMFG they gave me the job right away. Then they had me do orientation right away. oh em jee. I start Wednesday at 6. And I work laaaate. boo. But yay! Moneys!

Saturday night I had a dream that John Ogden was doing a shadow puppet show on the news instead of giving traffic reports. I remember laughing in my dream and saying "What the hell is he doing?" and I blushed, because everyone else who was watching it was laughing and they knew I pined for him. I woke up thinking it was real. I giggled a little bit.

One more full day of school.. the rest are halfies. I only have one more final. But really.. school seems officially over to me. Woop. After Friday.. I can absolutely sit around and do nothing for months.

Well hm. Today would have been a good day. If it didn't suck so much, that is.

Started off fine. Everything going swell. I was on my way to school.. I had parked my car, and I was walking to the basement entrance..

Well you know how in movies, when the main character is having a bad day and he/she's really upset.. and they're walking along.. trying to get a taxi or something.. and a car ZOOMS by and douses them with yucky muddy water?

Yeah that totally happened to me today. I got DRENCHED with muddy water from a stupid school bus.

So I started crying, because the suckiness of this week just became overwhelming. And I went into the locker room to change into my sweats. Mrs. Yoder (bless her) took me to Mrs. Unger's room so I could put my pants in the home ec. dryer. It was incredibly embarassing.

I had a HUGE cry right before humanities started. It felt good. And I told everybody (who cared) what happened. They expressed their sympathy, and let me be, which was probably for the best.

Not to mention that I FAILED yesterday's humanities test, and got a 66% on a math test. I'm so screwed.

Things started to brighten toward the end of the day.

I need some John Ogden goodness.

Well, despite one big downfall.. today was a decent day.

School wasn't very eventful.. except for a killer humanities test.. and sarah and I passing notes back and forth about one certain "ass raper" at our school. I will refrain from mentioning, seeing as how people from school like to go looking around where they don't need to be looking.

Then after school I went to Barnes & Noble to just unwind from all the madness.. I bought two of my summer reading books, as well as a strawberries & creme frappuccino with whipped cream. mmmm. Veddy veddy good.

Then I went to Target and bought a kickass composition book. holla.

And WORD. Fantasia. <333 I was definitely teary.

And now I'm here. And I really need to go to bed soon.

Mom-mom died today.

When I heard dad's message on the answering machine, I knew that's what he had called about. I thought I was prepared, so I called him back, expecting the worst. Unfortunately, the worst is what actually happened. And I cried.

He told me not to be surprised, but I can't help it. You never think grandparents are going to die. They're always going to be here, smiling and spoiling you and giving you more food than you can handle. She always took care of me, she was always proud of me, and she always loved me. I might not have understood it, because lately I haven't been around her as much. And that saddens me the most; the fact that I never knew she was in so much pain. But now it's ended. She's at peace again.

In the words of Forrest Gump: That's all I have to say about that.
